Corneliani was officially founded in 1958 by Claudio and Carlalberto Corneliani. Yet Corneliani's history goes back even further, to the 1930s. Alfredo Corneliani, father of Claudio and Carlalberto, started the production of raincoats and outerwear in Mantua. Production was interrupted due to World War II, but was revived by Claudio and Carlalberto. They founded Corneliani SAP in 1958 and ultimately ensured that the Italian brand became a leading player in the international fashion world.
